Patrick O'Connell served as Global Director of NewThing, a catalyst network for movements of reproducing churches co-founded by Dave Ferguson. When NewThing merged with Exponential in April 2025, O'Connell became Executive Director of Practice, one of four executive directors on Exponential's leadership team. Before ministry, he worked in finance as a VP at a prestigious investment firm; he left that career to co-plant Restore Community Church in Kansas City. He holds a master's degree in Missional Church Movements from Wheaton College.
