James Emery White is the founding and senior pastor of Mecklenburg Community Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, which began with a single family and has grown to more than 20,000 active attenders with over 70% coming from unchurched backgrounds. He is the president of Serious Times, Inc., and the author of more than twenty books translated into ten languages, including the 2023 book Hybrid Church: Rethinking the Church for a Post-Christian Digital Age. He previously served as the fourth president of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and as a professor of theology and culture there.
